Worst Scam Ever
The sales people blatantly lie to your face. I asked sales associate Desiree if the bed was fullly refundable, and she stated with a smile no less, yes it is, except for a 199$ service fee. I agreed to the service fee believing I could get a refund of my $7500. Come to find out when I tried to return, they are stating they will not refund the flex base. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM SLEEP NUMBER. THE SALES STAFF BLATANTLY LIE TO YOU!
I have an $8,000.00 bed that I hate. What a pile of crap its just an air mattress with a foam top. I have the full split and the gap is growing every night. I would never buy anything from this company again. They don't cover anything or back up their product. Don't spend a dime with this company go to a mattress store with options.

After nearly four years of peaceful sleep, I awoke to lying in the Marianna Trench. My mattress was apparently exhausted in more ways than one, one also being my new sleep number. It took two weeks for what I thought would be a repair team to come to the house. Nope. For $99 (not covered under warranty), they just diagnose the problem. Except they didn't, explaining it could be one of several problems and I was to call the next day with the results of the experiment they left me to do.
After being passed through three customer service representatives I was informed I needed a new air chamber (68% covered by warranty; credit card please) plus, yes, that will be another $99 service call. The repair part is shipped to your house. Then you get to wait, again, for a service team to arrive to install it.
As for repair service, my first call was disconnected. My second call I was informed you do not find out until two days before the service exactly what time they will arrive. So if you schedule your life more than two days in advance, be prepared to take the entire day off. In my case, they called at 7AM the day of the appointment to reschedule the arrival time. I will say that all their service representatives were very polite.
If you are considering a Sleep Number mattress, here is my advice. Understand the 15-year warranty depreciates faster than a new car and the service call is not included. If and when the bed breaks, bring your patience, your checkbook, and acquire a spare mattress to sleep on for a month.
The worst ‘mattress’ ever. It’s a glorified air mattress but beeps and screams as it ‘analyzes’ your sleep. It’s constantly pumping up or reversing all night with a horrible noise. It is NOT guaranteed!!! They don’t give you your money back for any of it. And they REQUIRE you to sleep on this nightmare for 30 days before they will even pay to pick it up. The advertisements are totally misleading and makes sleep impossible.they required me to buy THEIR sheets, THEIR COVERS, THEIR PILLOWS, which, surprisingly are not covered in their ‘guarantee’ either. plus, their ‘technicians’ they sent to set it up cased my house, constantly asking for things in my kitchen, only to find them looking through my bedside tables. Stay FAR FAR AWAY.
On reading all he poor feedback I feel my experience with them is more just more a case of annoyance ....I keep getting emails addressed too my company with no message or anyway of blocking them as I have never herd of them & certainly have not ordered anything from them ....just about 20 emails with different reference numbers ....I thought it was just another spammer ...but the phone number is even unobtainable .
This company and its product are garbage! I have a $12,000 bed that was 50% off? For $6,000 I have had the worst experience possible. I have had air leaking out, software issues and bolts popping off of the adjustable base. My wife and I have not had a good nights sleep on this thing in over a year. It sounds crazy for the amount of money we spent but it has been the worst decision we could have made. Please be aware that if you call customer service they will let you know you will owe money if they need to send out a repair person? They Do
Not stand behind their garbage! There is no “lifetime warranty”. It is only a prorated reduction of price on replacement parts. If you waist your money on this it was because someone sickened you too. Don’t let the gadgetry suck you in.
We recently moved and one side of our sleep number went flat. We called customer service on Monday and after troubleshooting and paying over $100 for parts replacement they determined we needed a new pump. They said they would expedite and it would be here on Wednesday. It is now Friday and I just got off the phone with customer service and they said the pump is on back order for weeks! I'm sleeping on the floor. It would have been nice if they had told me that on Monday. Was not offered a refund or even new sheets or anything. Will never buy Sleep Number again. Poor customer service.
Only reason I gave three stars is because the product is good. Our bed was scheduled for delivery on April 16,2021. The delivery was made an hour late by two men who could not properly communicate in English and who did not represent Sleep Number in a positive light. In addition to the mattress, we had bought the Flex Fit Adjustable Frame. The store salesperson told us the legs on the frame were adjustable from 6" to 11" but the delivery people insisted they were not adjustable. They left the mattress and frame in our garage and said they would come back another time. I called Customer Service, who explained how the legs were adjustable, and together we decided that a longer leg would work better and arranged with them to send us the 16" to 19" legs. I asked Customer Service not to allow the original delivery men to deliver to us again. The same men showed up on April 21st to install the bed. They argued with us about how the frame would fit and were generally disagreeable. Luckily, this bed should last us the rest of our lives because I would never go through again what we experienced with the Sleep Number delivery.
I have called numerous times to get the zippered top replaced and each time I get a different quote on how much it would cost. I finally gave up and I will buy a decent bed from a different, more reliable company.
We fell for the hype and wasted a lot of money in the process. No matter how much we fooled around with the settings, we haven't been able to make our bed feel like the one in the showroom. It feels like an air mattress you camp on with foam on top. You could probably get that setup for $150.
Sleep guarantee only applies to the mattress. We're saddled with the base. I can't imagine why someone would want to sleep on something like this. An old school spring mattress is more comfortable.
We purchase a top of the line king size sleep number bed 7 years ago and had a problem. They advertise a 20 year prorated warranty. We called and had to pay $99 for them to come out. They noted a problem and ordered a part. They never sent the part. I called and found they wanted us to pay for the part. We refuse to give this company any money. We’ll trash the bed and never buy another. Buyer Beware!
Awful. Went in and got price with 30 day guarantee so we could think about it. It was a 7-8k sale, so we needed to think about it. Promotions came over the weekend we wanted to take advantage of. Called store. Store (Exton, PA) said can't do anything got to call customer service. Called customer service, they said we can't do anything you need sales (a woman, wish I had her name) - sent me to "sales" - this time a man. Said I had to talk to customer service. I said I just talked to customer service (each time telling the whole long story) and they said he was the person, he said no, it's customer service and did the equivalent of hanging up on me when transferring me back to customer service. Thenk goodness this is BEFORE we bought anything, which I planned to do today on the call. What will they do after you pay? Their "guarantees" etc? No way will I take that chance and strongly advise anyone else to stay away. You will never get support and the staff is either selling so many they don't care if you buy or not, or being treated horribly so they treat their customers the same way.
Our first mistake is trusting the store manager. We ordered a new I8 bed with upholstered headboard. frame, etc. We were in in the middle of a remodel so the lead time was not that important. However we received a phone call stating a March 19th delivery date had been set by the company and we either took it or had to wait an additional 5+ weeks for next delivery time. So we took the delivery time. The bed showed up and it was the wrong bed. The delivery guys suggested we refuse and go to the store to work it out. We went to the store, then we had to contact their customer service department who said we could have the right bed delivered in a week. That never happened. Our new delivery date was pushed into May after an initial order from January. You cannot trust their CS, Executive Escalation Department or their CEO. This company will take your money and not take care of you. Do your self a favor and buy a Tempur-Pedic. They have excellent CS and we got our bed a couple days.
I ordered my bed 2 months ago. I’ve been waiting 2 months to get my bed delivered and as I type this I’m sleeping on my mattress on my bedroom floor like a college kid. The big difference is I’m not a college kid, I’m a 43 year old woman who paid thousands of dollars, months ago, for a bed they couldn’t bother to deliver on time, even though I’ve had an appointment for two months. To add insult to injury, the driver called me at 11:00 am this morning to tell me they left the dock late and might be a bit late delivering my bed, but then retracted and said since I was their last delivery it might be fine. At 6:15 pm, after my delivery window had come and gone with no further communication, I finally called customer service, waited on hold for 20 minutes, only to be lied to again and told they were finishing up at another house and I was next, “they said they’re in my neighborhood and would be here in an hour”, according to the customer service agent who supposedly spoke to th. 1.5 hours later, at 7:45 pm, I call again because no one is here yet and am told they only have one technician in the field right now, and not to count on him arriving tonight. She then tells me she will have a manager call me to reschedule my appointment and discuss recompense. A manage never called. I have dismantled my other bed because I was told multiple times they were arriving today between 3-6 pm. They had hours to call me to tell me otherwise and they did not. It’s likely if I hadn’t called them I would never have heard from them at all. I’m beyond furious, I will be beyond surprised if someone actually calls me tomorrow, even more surprised if they actually show up with my bed, and further still surprised if they do anything to make this right. I can not believe how much money I paid for such poor customer service. I bought the Ferrari of beds to look at my sales ticket, compared to other beds, and yet I’m getting used car service. I’m so angry. This isn’t one and service experience, this is several bad service experiences compounded, all in one day, before I even have my bed installed! Horrifying to think what’ll happen if anything ever goes wrong. Then again, why should they care when I get my bed, they took my money 2 months ago.
